Design Thinking is about approaching things differently with a strong user orientation and fast iterations with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex problems.
It is a structured methodology used by designers to develop and deliver products, services and experiences that address unsaid human needs. It is a structured approach that uses empathy and innovative thinking to solve critical business problems and deliver products and services that delight customers.
Design Thinking can be applied to complex problems that are difficult to decipher. Using design thinking, organizations could transform their cultures to become more innovative, which is likely to have a positive impact on their top line and bottom line. It can be applied to develop low cost working prototypes for various needs and test them in real time.

This course is aimed for those who want to understand the theory of Design Thinking and how to apply this human-centred approach to achieve real business value. This includes: Managers seeking to understand how design thinking can add value in their organisation, Business Analysts working with design thinking teams, Product Owners, Product Managers, Software Engineers, UX Designers, Designers and anyone involved in teaching or training teams seeking to implement design thinking.

  • Bachelor degree holder / Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University.
  • International / SAARC Graduate from a recognised / accredited University /Institution.
  • Students who have appeared for final year of examination of their bachelor's degree program and are awaiting results can also apply, subject to successfully completing their bachelor's degree program / graduation within the time Period specified by SCDL.

  • The duration of the program is one year.
  • The registration period is valid for two academic years.

    Application Form Fees (Non-refundable):
  • For Indian Residents (General / Defence): ₹.1200/-
  • International / SAARC: US $ 100 OR ₹ 7,200/-

Program Fees: Students have two options of paying the fees as mentioned below:
A] Option 1 – Two -Installments: Student has to pay the full course fees in two installments. Pay 1st Installment within 15 days from the date of admission and Pay 2nd Installment within 60 days from the date of payment of 1st Installment.

    Note: Batch for the program will start subject to sufficient enrollment. Participants are required to pay exam fees per exam per attempt separately. Exam Fee is not a part of Program Fee.

    Fee Payment Mode: Fees can be paid Online or by Demand Draft.
  • Payment via Online: this can be done through payment gateway.
  • Payment via DD: this can be submitted at SCDL Pune campus. The Demand Draft needs to be in favor of "The Director, SCDL, Pune" payable at Pune only.
